Six steps,
in this order,
for a reason.

Six steps, because a website that works is not one thing done well — it is a handful of decisions taken in an order that stops you paying twice.

  1. 01

    A conversation, not a pitch

You tell us what you do, where you work, and how you get jobs now. We ask what your best jobs look like, because that is what we are trying to get more of. If a website is not your bottleneck, we will say so — it is a short conversation and it costs nothing.

  2. 02

Research, so the design has something to answer

What people in your area actually type, and what they want to know before they ring anybody. That decides how many pages the site has, what each one is for, and what goes above the fold on each. A design drawn before anyone asked this is decoration.

  3. 03

    Design, on a phone first

Drawn for your trade, at phone size, because that is where almost every customer will meet it. You see it and change it here, while changing it is still cheap — on the bigger packages we keep working the design with you rather than stopping at an agreed number of rounds.

  4. 04

    Build and test

Built as fast static pages rather than a stack of plugins, with a content management system behind it, so once it is hosted with us you can edit the words yourself. Then we test what actually breaks: the form arrives, the number dials, the pages load quickly, and Google can read all of it. You get a link to try on your own phone before it goes anywhere.

  5. 05

    Launch and connect

The site goes live, Google Business Profile is set up or corrected, Search Console is connected so we can both see what is happening, and the details match everywhere they appear.

  6. 06

    Then it is yours

The domain and the site are in your name and you can walk off with both. If you want us to keep pushing it up the page, that is the monthly SEO — on-page work, local links and profile upkeep, with a note each month in words you will actually understand. Plenty of people take the site and stop there, and that is a perfectly good outcome.

Next See what comes out That is the process. This is what comes out of it — judge the standard before you ring anybody.

Start at step one.

It is a conversation. There is nothing to prepare.
